An original vintage Flowerpot VP1, designed by Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen. The Flowerpot was designed in 1968 and became one of the best-known icons of Danish design from the 1960s and 70s.
The design consists of two opposing hemispheres: the large upper shade and the smaller reflector below it. This reflects the light in a distinctive way, creating a pleasant, atmospheric glow without direct glare from the light source.
This original vintage example is made of orange enamelled metal. The lamp is in very good condition and has been fully polished. The enamel has been exceptionally well preserved. There is one small chip in the enamel, consistent with its age and visible in the photo.
The lamp comes with a new orange fabric cord, in keeping with the original color and look of the design.
A particularly well-preserved example of a true Danish design classic, in the distinctive orange of the period.
